Really like this stove top. I dearly missed gas cooking when we purchased this house. It had the electric ceramic cooktop. Very attractive but not at all functional for cooking efficiently. Was delighted when it died, searched for gas top that would fit the opening and this was a perfect fit. Easy to install, except for the downdraft connection which didn't line up with the old downdraft, no fault

The downdraft is poorly designed. Once installed the downdraft drops all the way to the bottom of the cabinet, leaving NO room for the duct work. The only way this is acceptable is IF you Duct Work happens to be right in line with the downdraft. We all no this NEVER happens. If I would have known this ahead of time, I would have changed my design around and installed an overhead vent hood.

The installation of the downdraft could have been easier, but wasn't too bad. But for cooking, it is awesome. I love the controls which allow you to infinitly control temperature from hand warmer to flame thrower. On a previous cooktop, I had a Med, High and Low, and nothing in between. I would try to boil a 2 gallon pot of water and it would take forever. Not so with this bad boy.

The ceramic surface is really very difficult to clean. I am thinking of getting rid of the [$] range top for just that reason alone. A model with stainless steel and the same burners would be fine and would earn four stars

It is used for everyday family meal prep. The controls are easy to use and well placed. This unit replaced another brand, and it heats more evenly and faster. Even though it was easy to install, the downdraft hookup required a bit of creativity.

The best part is cleanup, because it is a flat surface it makes cleanup super easy. I love cooking with gas and now I have the convenience of a flat cooktop with the control of gas I could not ask for better.

We had to save for a while, but finally got the cooktop I wanted. It workds just as advertised. The sealed burners make it easy to clean (although it takes a few minutes to get back to the mirror-like finish). Cooking on it is a pleasure. The downdraft fan works very well and is powerful, which is why it is good that it has three power levels.
