Review Title: love my dishwasher | Review by
very happy with quality and appearance. Whirlpool is the best!
Review Title: Quiet and roomy | Review by
We purchased this for our office. It's very quiet and holds 10 coffee mugs and 10 dishes and lots of silverware - and cleans/dries very well.
Review Title: Small and Compact! | Review by
It was the only 18 inch dishwasher I could. It's small and stylish!
Review Title: Quite, efficient, dishwasher for small places | Review by
I'm pleased with this purchase. Fits more dishes than you would expect for the size and runs very quietly.
Review Title: Quieter and better cleaning than expected | Review by
We had been led to believe that such a small dishwasher would be very noisy. We were pleased with its quiet operation and the quality of the cleaning. Very easy to use, and very easy to install beneath our kitchen counter. For the quality is reasonably priced.
Review Title: Does a great job but the cycles are long. | Review by
Nice washer, needs a shorter cycle added. This would make it easier to do small loads that are not very dirty.
Review Title: Well Worth Having | Review by
This unit holds a sufficient amount of kitchen items, enough to finish my whole dinner mess. A 24-inch would have made my small kitchen look funny, but this unit completes the picture and does the job it is built to do besides. I am very pleased, not at all disappointed for having this 18-inch unit instead of a 24. After all, it's still a Whirlpool!
Review Title: Just the right features! | Review by
I bought this dishwasher 3 months ago and I'm very happy with it! I've had dishwashers in the past and at times have had things come out dirty or streaked, but with my whirlpool, everything comes out shiny and clean, It's also the perfect size for my small family!
Review Title: small but powerful | Review by
bought this in october didn't start using until remodel in kitchen was done in november. I'm finding it is the perfect size for my household of two, but for thanksgiving I had to run several times to get all dishes done we had 11 people that day, so a lot of extra dishes.
Review Title: Small, but does it All | Review by
I recently did a kitchen renovation and researched small dishwashers. I am single and a large sized dishwasher was a waste of space for me, as well as the fact that it would take me forever to fill it up. I chose the Whirlpool Compact Tall Tub. I love it! As the name implies, it's compact, yet when there are 5 of us for dinner, it more than handles the job. It's surprising just how much can be loaded into this dishwasher, and my dishes come out shiny and spotless. I frequently hear, "oh, I didn't know you could buy a small dishwasher". I bought the stainless steel finish and it blends beautifully in my kitchen.
Review Title: Excellent product. Easy to install and use | Review by
Excellent product. Easy to install and use. Up to date features.
Review Title: Love It | Review by
I love this compact dishwasher. Does a great job and hold a lot for a little space.
Review Title: Small DIshwasher | Review by
I love my dishwasher! I have a small kitchen and putting in a full sized dishwasher would have taken away a stack of drawers. We went with the 18" dishwasher and it works great. We are a family of 5 - with my 2 older children and grandson and it works just perfectly for us. I start it before I go to bed and the sound is quiet - I don't hear it in the bedroom. The dishes are very clean - I have not had one that wasn't yet and we have been using it for over a month. Love my new dishwasher!
Review Title: Everything I expected but better. | Review by
This is exactly what I was looking for. Really quite and the stainless interior is so nice. It's very quite and the dishes are very clean. Just wish I had room for a 24".
Review Title: love this thing! | Review by
this thing fit perfectly! allowed us to go from custom cabinetry to semi-custom and save a ton! plus, I'm no longer designated dishwasher... plus, it matches all the other appliances in the apartment!
Review Title: RIGHT SIZE | Review by
The dishwasher fits perfectly in the space I have. The dishes get sparkly clean and I don't have to worry about over use of water. Thanks Whirlpool you did it again!
Review Title: whirlpool dishwasher | Review by
It cleans very well but does not Prince the soap off the dishes completely, currently trying a higher grade soap to see if that helps
Review Title: Right for the space. | Review by
I didn't know they made dishwashers this small. I am thrilled I found it as it is a perfect fit in the kitchen. A little expensive but overall I am satisfied.
Review Title: Great load capacity and get things clean, but is noisy. | Review by
Bought this for our tiny apartment. It looks no e and gets things clean. But it is not very quiet. All of our friends with Boschs say it is super loud. I wonder if something is wrong with our unit.
Review Title: Overall pretty good | Review by
Overall this dishwasher is pretty good. Very quiet and it does an excellent job cleaning dishes. Takes ~2 hours to go through an entire "normal wash" cycle which isn't too bad. However, the layout design inside the dishwasher is TERRIBLE! The upper rack's tines are not conducive to cereal bowls, the lower ones do a poor job of handling both large and small plates. I invariably spend 10 minutes trying to get my dishes to fit and we don't use a lot of dishes.
Review Title: Good product, but poor quality control at assembly point. | Review by
Bought this dishwasher and had it installed in a home we had just purchased. We kept noticing water on the carpet in front of the sink, but none in front of the dishwasher. Called a plumber as we thought a water line in the wall was leaking. Turned out that the dishwasher was leaking underneath, but only when it was running. Because of the design of my floor the water was getting under the tile and moving across to the front of the sink.Had a service person come out to inspect the dishwasher and it turns out that a retaining ring inside the dishwasher tub that holds the pump and drain unit in place was broken. A piece was broken off of it and was not in the unit, leaving the only assumption that it was assembled this way and was shipped past quality control. The plus is that the warranty is in effect and is being honored by the company. Very disappointing, to say the least.
Review Title: More than I expected! | Review by
I have had my dishwasher about a month. I am very pleased with my purchase. It took a few times loading to get used to the difference from my previous dishwasher. I am happy with the amount of dishes I am able to load, quiet, sparkling clean dishes. The only negative comments is price.....small always costs more, sad to say!
Review Title: great looking, dries well, but difficult bottom tray | Review by
We recently upgraded our kitchen with stainless steel appliances and bought this to replace an older 18 inch frigidaire dishwasher. The new one looks great and very modern. We find that it does a better job washing as well and is quieter. Our only beef is that the lower dish tray is award to fill with dishes. Also, if you load bigger plates the tray becomes top heavy and tends to come off its runners. We split the utensil basket and rearranged it which has helped with space utilization. Overall, it is a good investment, but the designers should improve the lower tray to make plates stand straight and add more stability to the tray.
Review Title: Perfect for small space | Review by
I wanted to work a dishwasher into my kitchen renovation but don't have much space. My household consists of my husband and myself so we only have to run it a couple of times a week. It gets my dishes clean and sparkly and runs relatively quietly.

This is an excellent dishwasher. It is quiet, does a great job cleaning, and fits very well into my small kitchen.
Review Title: Product is generally good but has a few issues that could be considered for improvement. | Review by
we ordered this dishwasher for our renovated kitchen because of space issues. We wanted a dishwasher but a regular size would not fit it. The dishwasher is now running well, but it took us awhile to figure it out. The first problem was streaks and stains on the dishes and the door of the dishwasher. I have had a dishwasher in other homes, but this had me stumped. I tried changing the small adjustment for hard water and that did not help. I had our water temperature checked by a plumber but that proved to be ok. Finally I bought the premium dishwasher detergent and that solved the problem. It is a little disconcerting that I have to buy the very best detergent or the washer doesn't work well. The rinse dispenser is difficult to deal with. The little window that indicates when rinse aid is needed is very hard to read. The first time I filled it I had no idea when I had put enough in, so, of course, I overfilled it and ended up with rinse aid all over the door. Finally after a couple weeks I think I have it figured out, but it's not exactly user friendly. And finally, the top rack is very difficult to move in and out. It does not move smoothly and the glassware rattles and jumps as I move it in and out - not a serious problem, but an annoyance. I know I cannot expect this little guy to have the features of the bigger and more expensive models, and I wish we could have put in a regular size dishwasher, but you asked for a review so here it is. Hope it gives you some useful information.
Review Title: Upgrade! | Review by
When we moved in 4 years ago, we knew that we were going to have to replace the gold 1980's style dishwasher that we inherited. Flash-forward 4 years and we finally purchased a new dishwasher. Due to the design of our kitchen, we knew we could only get an 18 inch dishwasher. This dishwasher works great. The run cycle is about an hour and a half with settings of normal wash and heated dry. We usually set the dishwasher to run after we've gone to sleep (using the delay start function of course). This isn't the quietest dishwasher on the planet, but it certainly beats washing dishes by hand. We can still easily hear the television/music in the other room as well. You do have to yank on the latch pretty good to open the dishwasher, but it's not that big of a deal.

the water pump went out , and I had to pull hen's teeth to get it fixed. still not happy with it at all
Review Title: First one defective but | Review by
The first dishwasher installed leaked throughout the new kitchen from a defective part. Our installer said do not repair, get another new one. We needed this small size, otherwise I would purchases another brand. After another 2+week wait, another Whirlpool dishwasher was installed. 2 months later still working well - no leaks. It does work well for a small dishwasher. It is all a 2 person household needs
Review Title: Sleek, small, effective | Review by
I've had this a few months...used it a few times. It works well, cleans the dishes (although you have to thoroughly rinse them before putting them in). Doesn't dry as well as I'd like. Moderately noisy, but not bad. Overall, pleased. Great for a small apartment where you don't have a lot of space width or depth wise. Holds 1 dinners worth of dishes, I'd say!
Review Title: Noisy but does a good job in washing dishes | Review by
Had to replace the original new unit with another due to a severe leak. Then had problems with Home Depot and Whirlpool to fix the problem

The Washer did not wash well and leaked water onto the floor.
